Getting paid on Daris from Egypt, Morocco, Jordan and Pakistan
Daris Team · 4 July 2026 · 4 min read
If you’re teaching on Daris from Egypt, Morocco, Jordan, or Pakistan, you get paid a little differently from teachers elsewhere. This guide explains how it works, what you’ll need, and when to expect your money.
Who this is for
This guide is for teachers with a bank account in Egypt, Morocco, Jordan, or Pakistan. Stripe doesn’t yet support standard Connect payouts to these countries, so Daris uses a different rail to get your earnings to you. If you’re banking elsewhere, you don’t need this — see our guide to setting up payouts with Stripe instead.
How it works
Students pay Daris up front when they book a lesson. Your earnings accrue to your balance after each completed lesson— there’s nothing you need to do to trigger this. Then, every Monday, we send your full balance to your bank account via Stripe. There’s no need to request a payout or keep track of anything; it happens automatically on the same day every week.
What you’ll need
Setting up payouts is a one-time step, done entirely on Stripe’s secure onboarding page. You’ll be asked for:
- A government-issued ID to confirm who you are.
- For Egypt, Jordan, and Pakistan: your bank’s account number or IBAN, plus the bank’s SWIFT/BIC code.
- For Morocco: your local bank account details.
All of this is entered directly on Stripe’s secure page — Daris never sees your bank details.
Currency
Lessons on Daris are priced in GBP. Your payouts arrive in your local currency — EGP, MAD, JOD, or PKR— converted at Stripe’s exchange rate at the time of transfer.
FAQ
When do I get my first payout?
On the first Monday after your balance reaches £20. If your balance is below that on a given Monday, it simply rolls over and gets included in the following week’s payout.
What if a lesson is refunded?
Refunds are netted against your balance, so a refunded lesson doesn’t get paid out.
How long do transfers take?
Typically 1–3 business daysafter we send them on Monday, depending on your bank. Stripe’s transfer fee, if any, is shown in your payout history.
